Antarctic actually has land.

There is no land at the North Pole.

There is certainly land in the Arctic, however. Canada, US, and USSR all have land in the Arctic.

I'm referring to your comment, about the arctic. It's a common misconception, especially among those who like to point out that there is no land at the north pole. Then commonly confuse that with the entire arctic.

does this take place in the Arctic? I remember the Carpenter version being set in the Antarctic?
