Another reason for me to hate NVIDIA

Well, this being the worst week in my whole life .. None seems to be working the way i planned em.

everything is working out till the end and then something magical happens and they stop working 😱

And Nvidia is no exception to this 🙁 One of my friend gave me the link to the latest Nvidia drivers for my 8800 gt, don't even remember which version I was using.... I uninstalled it, downloaded the latest version, unzipped it and tried to install it. The progress bar just stops at 4/10 !! and then I get this message "system not modified, cause the quality check/software testing/who ever is incharge/ team was too busy watching porn"

WTF !!
tried 190.8, 185, 180 all give me the same message !!

Am using vista SP1 32bit

Any suggestion would be appreciated !!

Im going to guess the drivers are not the problem if you have tried that many different builds.

Anything overclocked would be a good place to start.

OMG problem sorted !!
My research led me to this conclusion that a lot of people have been having this problem

So I decided to post fix to this !!

goto device manager and uninstall the graphic card restart and start the setup and follow on !!
IT worked for me !!

Meh, I'd replace the 8800GT with a Radeon 4870 for 130 before MIR or with a 4850 for under a 100.
