The best thing to do is to look the bottom line of the reply/new post window where it says:

"No HTML code is allowed in posts. Special symbols allow some HTML functionality. "

and click on the link to "symbols" and read the instructions there.

Hehe! When you type replies you should get a bar of buttons: (B)(I)(U)(HTTP) etc. The 4th button, (HTTP), is the one you want to create links.
