Go to www.crucial.com check out what system you have. I'm too lazy to look it up for you. See what type of RAM they used in your computer (most likely DDR), then you can look up on sites like Newegg, Zipzoomfly, etc for cheaper RAM that will work for you.

It should work fine, but it would be best to use a dual channel kit. P4's get a nice performance boost with dual-channel, which is likely what you already have, so you might see a mild drop in performance.

I know it is ddr. Just making sur eotherwise.. I have 2x256 in 1 and 3 slot (Dual channel) I Am moving that to 2 and 4 and putting 2x512 in 1 and 3 slots.
