Another quick Q regarding ROTK **spoila!**

Where did Gandalf and Frodo leave to? And why did Frodo have to go with Gandalf?

I couldn't pay attention because I thought the movie should've ended when Aarogon said to the hobbits, "You bow to no one"

Better put spoilers in your title 😛

they went to the undying lands with the elves, you know all that crap Elrond was talking through all 3 movies

but why frodo? His friends were devastated. Simply because Gandalf asked him so?

I think its cause Frodo is gay and is in love with Sam, and can't stand the pain of seeing Sam married. hence, he runs for it.

He left because the pain of the loss of the Ring and the pain of the knife wound that he received on Weathertop would never heal in Middle Earth. In the Undying Lands, all wounds are healed (at least, that's the rumor)

Edit: The ring part is why Bilbo gets to go, and also why Sam eventually goes as well.

Because Frodo couldn't handle living in the Shire anymore. Imagine if you had just saved the world.. would you want to go back to living in your podunk town? No. You would rather go west with the elves and live for ever.

There is something I have been wondering about, it seems like there is so much more that could be written of the age of man and frodo, gandalf and bilbo in the undying lands, is there any "fan fiction" out there? any kind of continuation? I want more 😀

hhahaha after i read all three....i was sooo depressed..ok not in a bad way, but really sad that i finished the books...

i craved for more,...searched and searched... 🙁

looking back, and then being reminded of the books from these movies....i was sad once again hehehe

but it's a good sad..

and i'm drunk right now and i have no idea what the hell i just blabbered about..sorry 🙁

it was a great 3 movies... 🙁

It's not a place where there are adventures.

The undying lands are outside of and removed from the strife of MiddleEarth.

Frodo did his bit for King and Country and his reward was to sail into the west where he would finally find peace and comfort.

Read the books.

u deny the homoerotic undercurrent in the films?

lol🙂

just where in tolkiens book does he write "sam looks longingly into frodos eyes", and "frodo gazed longingly back" over and over and over again🙂

"oh sam!"

"oh master frodo!"

The only "homoerotic undercurrents" in the films are those you project into them.
