you can add a new user to the computer, and use that instead of the administrator account.

edit: better link.

yes i understand but i already have all of my stuff on this account and i dont want to have to many accounts because that slows down the computer

It should only slow down the computer if you are logged into them simultaneously, Otherwise, they will only take up hard disk space.

To change the account name (not recommended), follow these instructions:

1. Click on Start, and right-click on 'My Computer'. Select 'Manage'.
2. Select 'Local Users and Groups' under the 'System Tools' section.
3. Select 'Users'.
4. Right click on 'Administrator' and select 'Rename'.

I still recommend setting up another user and NOT using the administrator account.

I agree - keep the admin account seperate (make sure it has a password assigned) and use another account for day to day use. You might want to consider using a limited user account for daily use to avoid common spyware problems.

Yeah, definately stop using the Administrator account ASAP. Create a limited user account and copy all your junk over to it. (you can probably use the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard for this).
