Another question I've got

This isn't so much of a question as it is a poll.


Do you automatically believe that if a kid (with out knowing their age) is automatically a whiny brat if they complain/bitch and moan about what their parent(s) do? What about if they do it every once in a while? All the time? Depending on the circumstances? Why is it that every thread that involves one's own parents will automatically bring trolls to it to flame the OP on why they're not 'respecting their parents' and other such malarkey....?

I'll see if adding a poll is worthwhile.

Every kid that posts about his parents does so in a way to bring out the flames. If a legitimate gripe was posted, I'm sure we would band together to agree with him. The problem is, the OP is usually a whiny punk that has no real merit to his rant.

If the kid has good logic and tactfully explains his/her side of the topic, then no he/she is not a whiny brat. In fact, that type of kid is very intelligent and should be listened to.

Very, very few kids are like that. Your post there sounds like you are a whiny brat. Why? Because you didn't "tactfully" explain your view.


Typical kid: "But, mooooooom, that tuna casserole tastes like sh!t, why do you always torture us with it? I'm not eating it. You never listen to me!"

Intelligent kid: "Mom, I asked everyone in our family, and no one likes to eat tuna casserole. It is also a lot of work for you to make and is full of unhealthy fats. Would you please make ____ instead? The rest of the family would appreciate it, it'll be less work for you, and it is healthier for us to eat. Thanks."

Both are complaining about what their parents did (cook bad food). But one is a whiny brat. Can you guess which is which?

If your parents raised you to be a critical thinker (which is not all that common these days), you're bound to have some problems with some things they do. So if you don't take issue with them at some point, they didn't do a very good job of raising you.

I don't know if I would say I was 'raised' but I have been told I've got good critical thinking skills, at least to my recollection anyways..

Because the sh1t they whine about is so inane it's obvious the'yre just another emo teenager.

If your parents were physically beating you, starving you, trying to sell you into prostitution, yes that is grounds for complaint. Taking away an xbox or installing itunes on the computer they paid for is not grounds for complaint.

Just because your dad earns his money and then wastes it by lets say literally burning it or buying tons of XBOX video games so there isn't enough money for the electricity bill (forgot the TV program) are you saying you can't complain then?
