How are you getting those high MHz/FSB speeds without a proper AGP/PCI lock? Does that render your video/audio/hard drive almost useless? I can hit 220x10 without any problems, but when I try to go above that, I start getting some artifacts, and crashes. Even problems with my audigy card due to the overclock. I've also read about system file corruptions due to hard drive problems as well, even though I've never encountered this problem first hand.

....I also read somewhere that the K8T800 boards might have a "built-in" agp/pci lock that "kicks-in" at certain FSB? Is this correct? I know that my processor, and memory are good for at least another 100mhz or more since it will run memtest86+ and Prime95 all day at higher speeds, but I can't run any 3D applications for any prolonged periods of time without running into some problems. Please let me know what the secret is about getting these tremendous overclocks without the AGP/PCI locks.

Do you think that will help? What does that do exactly? Does it slow down the AGP clock speed? I'm getting sound card, and even my wireless NIC card issues too though, which are connected on to the PCI slots.

i heard that the agp/pci settings reset to 66/33 when the FSB is at 233....unfortunately, my ram won't allow me to hit 233. :(
....has anyone tried this?

You need to take a minute and do the system rigs on My Anandtech then link it in your sig so we can see your setup at a glance ;) Unless Dell started making A64 systems, then I'll just say forget overclocking :p Seriously, What you're talking about is the divider, and depending on your board, you can use ClockGen to tweak your system and see precisely what effect it has on the PCI/AGP/FSB/Clockspeed/ram. ClockGen for Asus K8V is a fluke. The information is wrong and unreliable. Sandra is a better tool.
