Another question for NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer

Dorkenstein

What is a solid melee build for beating Mask of the Betrayer that is above your standard fighter or barb? I am also looking for something fairly easy that doesn't need a ton of micromanagement. Thanks.

Fighters and Barbarians are the best melee. Rangers can be good too, but a dwarven fighter or orcish barbarian is generally considered the best.

I like the orcish barbarian with high CON and pick the extra damage resistance feats.
Almost impossible to kill, great for a main character. If you somehow have leftover feats the Saving Throw bonus feats are nice. In 3rd edition saving throws actually matter again.
A fighter with smart feat picks would need the least micromanagement. Barbarians need some management because of their Rage use. BUT, barbarians with good hit points and lots of damage resistance dont need a baby-sitter.

If you just want a strong melee to beat the game, Bard1/fighter4/RDD10/FB5

This build is just insane, I don't remember the stats at the end, but the RDD gives something like +8 str, FB lets you power attack with a 2 hand weapon for -10 to hit and +20 to damage or something crazy like that. Along with 2 extra hits every time you kill something. There is no micromanaging, you just turn on the power attack and slaughter. This is just the first 10 levels, after that take extra fighter levels and lots of epic feats to improve your to hit bonus or your damage.

I played it through with a monk. It was kinda funny to watch almost all melee attacks against him to miss and spells resisted. 😀
