Have you found that you get more spots (ie. with a bit of pus in) on your scalp than you would expect?

Apart from the obvious things like eating a less greasy/crappy diet, does anyone have any experience and suggestions of how to take care of that area of skin?

I've always had a little bit of a dandruff problem, which I kept at bay with Head & Shoulders shampoo during the time that I had hair, but since shaving what's left of my hair I found that continuing to use shampoo seemed to cause very flaky skin on my scalp. I corrected that by just rinsing my head daily and then putting skin cream (moisturiser) on it. I'm not sure if the spottiness started at some particular point during all of this.

I've never really had much of a spot problem, but it's almost like they've migrated to my scalp!

I shave my head about once a fortnight.

I put coconut oil on my scalp. does a good job keeping dryness and dandruff away for me.

I like witch hazel right after shaving, then use Neutrogena's Post Shave Lotion. If you actually want to clean your head, some people use a facial apricot scrub on their head. I use Johnsons baby shampoo. I think whats more important is cleaning and moisturizing your head every day like you would your face. Also, change your pillow cases more frequently if you put on products before you sleep.

There is a forum that discusses nothing but shaved heads.

I'm do the minimum, but these guys seem to have it down to a science.

I've always had great luck with Head Blade products... been using them since I started shaving the head a few years ago and love pretty much everything I've got from 'em.

Are you sure those are not heat blisters(or keloids if you are shaving your head). Your head has not been exposed to sun before.

I'm bald on top and buzz the sides to 1/8" Still use head and shoulders dry scalp shampoo and it keeps the skin nice.

<looks up keloids> christ no! Admittedly wikipedia's pics of the condition were fairly extreme, but the less extreme looking one on someone's wrist didn't look anything like what I've got (which just look like tiny spots like the odd one I might get on my face say once or twice a week).

I haven't got far with this problem yet, I'm giving it a good few weeks between each attempt to resolve the problem. At the moment I'm gently rinsing the scalp and putting nothing else on it, which seems to help with the dandruff and possibly resulting in less spots.
