i am downloading the public US beta right now. (the free, public downloadable version)

As it seems, it is possible to purchase a retail key online (eg. at gamersloot.com etc.) and then use this on that beta client to make it the full version?

Or is the downloadable beta client any different from what's in the box?

Just wondering.
