i'm confused and slightly stoopid. i have heard some say to power down, move the jumper to the 2 and 3 pins for about ten seconds and then move it back to clear cmos. aren't ya supposed to power down, move the jumpers, then boot up, power off then move the jumper back to pins 1 and 2? help out the tard please...

btw, i have a kt7 turbo

power off. I usually disconnect the electrical plug just to be on the safe side.
put the jumper on 2-3 for 10-15 sec. this will short and reset cmos.
put the jumper back on 1-2.
plug the computer back in and try it.

what gcy said. on some boards if you dont unplug when you jumper the system reboots unhappily. (this happens on my BE6II Raid) if you wanna get anal about it, remove the cmos battery prior to jumpering the pins to clear and put the battery back again after pin is jumpered to normal position.
