Hello

I had previously posted questions regarding product management.

i was wondering if with 5 years of software/hardware experience would be wise for me to go for contarct positons in software or should i go for prodcut management

i mean is it a good career move to go into product management, is it a good step up the hierarchy?

Do you like management and decision making? If you do, then go into product management. If you don't, then stay in software.

thanks for the replies

does a product management course give you a step up the hierarchy of a company?
does it involve manging peopl?

also is pre-sales a part of product management?

does pre-sales have the same degree of stress as product management?

i apologise for coming up with question after question. but i am trying to figure out my next career move. and at the moment i seem to have three choices for the near future

pre-sales
product management
software contractor

and then i can stay with wha ti have and go for
project management
financial engineering

what do you guys think about my choices?
