I am using the smc barricade 4 port router. I have 2 computers, win98, that are both sharing an internet connection. i go into midtown madness, do everything right on the multiplayer tab and then whare it should list the other games it finds at the ip or lan it says:

ERROR: Network versions are not compatable.

is this a problem w/ my netwerk? do i evan have a network? 😱

this is my first time trying to do annything besides get them to both access the internet. file sharing is enabled and i can find the other computer in network neighborhood (they are in different workgroops though.)
Is there annyone that can help me?

PS- i am using the same cd for both computers. i installed it on both, then used a no cd key from gamecopyw0rld on one of them. would this affect it??
------EDIT--------------

Thanks LordOfAll, that fixed it. the patch that i used was not the same as the cd i had. i put the no-cd key on both computers and it worked fine.
