Another Power Supply Question

Yes, I have read the Ultimate Power Supply Thread but I still have questions regarding my setup.

I have bought AMD Venice 3000, MSI Neo4 Platinum, Corsair 2x512MB memory, Leadtek 6600GT and WD Raptor 74GB. These are just upgrades over my existing computer which has Antec casing/PSU. The model number on the PSU is PP-412X, rated at 400W. In addition of the above parts, I have a floppy disk, 1 DVD-RW, 1 DVD-ROM, Maxtor 160GB HDD, 4 case fans with LEDs, etc......

The question: Is 400W from Antec PSU enough to power all of the things I listed above? Will my system be stable if I overclock the CPU and video card? Are there any additional things that I have to buy with regards to 20-pin connector from my PSU versus the 24-pin mobo that I have bought?

The maximum rated amperage on the +12V rail is 18A, so 12*18 = 216W only? :Q

I do plan to overclock this system and say I was able to overclock the CPU to ~2.5GHz and the video card to somewhat high overclocked speeds. Would the computer still be stable?

400W should be more than enough since the peripherals never all runs at the same time except during boot time. So you can be sure that if your system boots properly it has enough power. Unless, of course, you're just looking for excuse to buy another PSU.

The PSU is 3-4 years old now and only has 1 rail for +12V, and it rated at 18A, max. So, you guys think I'll be fine with my old PSU? Just follow the thread's instruction to use the first 20 pins of the 24-pin connector on the motherboard? Then use this adapter to power the PCI-E 6600GT video card? I really want to make sure, because I don't want to fry my mobo or any of my computer parts 🙁
