example, for those who missed the Coolpix 990 deal at mercata, you can get a similar price via the deal from MPSuperstore via the passport deal. No new customer discount but their price is about 100 lower to start... DID NOT CHECK SHIPPING CHARGES HOWEVER.

There may be some deals there...

oops...checked another thread and people seem to say they are not reliable.. so use at own risk.

The 20% off promo works differently when using MPsuperstore. You are NOT supposed to see the 20% being taken off your order. After you place your order you will see the full amount, minus discount, and they are supposed to take the 20% off the final invoice before billing your credit card. Kind of makes you nervous huh?

This is what I've been told by MPsuperstore, plus this is what it says when you try placing your order using MSN. It's under the terms/conditions.

As a sidebar, when you call them to confirm the your order, to see if the 20% off went through, they will try to hard sell....and I mean HARD SELL, you to buy additional accessories. It appears they are selling the cameras at cost, and make all there money on the accessories. They aren't losing money on the MSN 20% off promo, since, as I quote the guy from MPsuperstore "we will bill Microsoft for that amount".

I recommend using your credit card instead of your debit card, in case you have to dispute the charges later. Oh...and Microsoft is aware of the above situation....if you have any problems, they want you to email them (go to http://eshop.msn.com/feedback.asp).

So have fun buying from them.
