Do you leave your turn signal on the entire length of a highway on/off ramp?

I don't use my turn signals to get off the freeway. it's unneccesary.

When I'm getting on the freeway, I turn it on jsut before I start to merge, leave it on till I've finished merging.

I flash it a couple times when Im about to merge.


when I use it at all. Im really bad about not using my turn signal.

i hate it when people put on their turn signal and wait forever to change into my lane. it's not like i don't let them in, i slow down to let them in. yet they take their time to get in. once i almost rear ended a guy because of that. i slowed down to let him in.. waited, waited, waited. thought he wants me to go first, so i gunned it then he starts swaying in. damn bastard.

some people dont seem to notice cars merging, that's why I'll use it. I've had a guy in an F250 try to pass me in the SAME lane as me, as I was finishing up my merge onto the freeway before.

Of course, if there's no one else around, like at 1AM when there's no cars for a quarter mile or more on either side of the onramp, I wont use the signal at all.

I'm not sure exactly what kind of situation you're describing, but if it's what I think it is, then the signal was useless anyway.

OK, so you're the only car on the freeway, in the slow lane. I'm trying to merge, signal blinking, and you refuse to give me room to merge, saying "Duh, why are you signaling,
where else are you going to go?"
Agreed, the signal was useless, but only because it was ignored by those it was intended to inform.
