Hey,

as soon as i fix my gfs computer SOB is going to run on it...can i just turn off "send intermediate packets" and wait until its done w/ all the blocks and then log her online?
I know with DPAD u can click "manual send" and it sends the results that it has...but what about for SOB. She has dialup so she wont be able to send packets intermediately...


so in essense, what do i do when the "work unit' is complete?
 
Yes, I would uncheck "send intermediate blocks" and I would change the value for the "retry wait" from 1200 to 120 so that it will try and send every 2 minutes after it has completed a block. Then you could connect every time it completes a block or let it queue the result and send it in whenever someone goes online.
 
I am on dial up and I just leave the "transmit intermediate packets" checked, and it transmits the next time it completes an intermediate block while online. It doesn't seem to bother it if it can't connect, but it should be fine if you uncheck it too 🙂
