Another paypal / ebay question

I've only just started selling stuff on ebay, and I upgraded my paypal account to premier to accept credit cards. Any risk taking credit cards? So everything has been perfectly fine.

Accept payments only from confirmed addresses and have proof of delivery - you should be ok, otherwise.

I have two paypal accounts. One for taking CC payments and the other for taking non CC payments. I prefer non CC (avoids the fees), but some people insist on CC so I have the ability to take those.

When I see the $$$ in my paypal account can I assume it's permanent even if they paid by CC?? I don't ship anything untill the money is in paypal but concerned that CC payments could be disputed by someone shady and the money would just 'go away'.

Just keep a very low balance if any in your paypal account.

If the buyer chooses to do a chargeback on their credit card, the CC company will refund them the $$$ while they investigagte... Once you prove that you shipped what you said you would, when you said you would, the credit card company will then charge the buyers credit card again. You will not lose anything, as long as you do not keep the money in your account. If you do, PayPal will freeze the entire amount while it investigates.

But someone cannot just charge something back on their credit card. They need to have a good reason with proof.

🙂

Thanks for the advice. I now know to move my funds from paypal to my bank account immediately.
I'm not a wrong-do-er but I hear of so many horror stories...

BTW, can paypal pull funds from the bank account it's attached to during a CC dispute?
