Another one for the Hollywood machine (Jonathan Brandis, dead)

I know kids and adults get messed up and feel like they simply cannot go on. And his name shouldn't be any more important thant another but...

Brandis was the kid on Seaquest, the nephew(?) of Rodney Dangerfield who dresses up as a girl so that he can play on Rodney's soccer team in LadyBuggs, and was in the TV show, 111 Gramercy Park (Thanks IMDB).

Intersting to note, he died sometime last week and the Hollywood report scene (E! Television) is just now getting around to reporting it. I guess it would be embarrasing to know that you weren't important enough to that crowd to rate a more expedient announcement.

He was one of my favorite actors when I was younger. So sad that he took his own life. I can relate though, sometimes the pain is just overbearing.

See? I feel the same way. It boggles my mind how actors, singers, and entertainers could commit suicide. Sure you're doing dinner theater in Bumfudge, TN instead of getting your car valeted at Morton's, but is that truly time for desperation?


I think these people have a skewed view of the world and it beats me how they can be so vain.

EDIT: Wow, if he only knew our forum mate, Dezign, had a crush on him. That's something worth living for.

JONATHAN BRANDIS DIES: Jonathan Brandis, star of the 1993-95 NBC series "seaQuest DSV," was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment Nov. 12. He was 27. Coroners identified his death as a possible suicide, but more tests are planned before a final ruling. Mr. Brandis starred in the recent film "The Year That Trembled."

Regardless of fame and fortune you always have to wake up with you. Whatever personal demons brought him to do such a thing none of us should judge or could understand.

Edit: Ok, just saw the deal with Accutane. I've heard it can cause such symptoms.
