:(

Well I think my P3 850 @ 1050 said BYE BYE.I was trying to trouble shoot a nagging memory problem just two days after installing Winblows Me from scratch, when after trying to boot up last nite I got a System Disk Error or simular and had to reboot when I started getting beep, beep, beep, beep with it just hanging.I took it out and dissasemled the Alpha and reinstalled it and got a good post but it hung again during splash with EMM386.EXE
missing and some weird combination of numbers and letters and the dreaded beep, beep, beep, beep.I put in a P3 800e I have and everything is running again.

Does anyone think there is anything I can do,or should I give Intel a call(its only 3 months old and a retail cpu).I really am a little stumped cause this is my first dead cpu and Im not sure what to try if anything.By the way does anyone know if Compuwize1 is still around I need to get in touch with him and cant find him in for sale\trades forum.Any way any advise or help would be nice. Thanks

Usually if a cpu will post, it's not dead. Slot1 or fcpga? If the latter, maybe a bent pin? Also, what board are you using? I think you can just do a search for Steve.

Try PMing Compuwiz1. That is how I contacted him when I didn't see him in the forums. He replied in less than a day!
