I had the 16MB version for a while (maybe it was Voodoo1 SLI). I should try to get it back from the guy I sold it to.

Hmmm. A real piece of history. I was looking for one of these a while back.

Actually, "16mb" is essentially correct. The Quantum was essentially two 12mb V2s in a single card solution. A normal 12mb V2 comes with 4mb for the frame buffer and 8mb for textures. In SLI configuration, texture memory is not combined as the same textures are loaded twice (one onto each set) so there's still a limit of 8mb that can loaded. Frame buffer memory however, is combined.

12mb V2 SLI = 16mb (4mb+4mb for FB, 8mb for textures = 16mb, not 24mb)
8mb V2 SLI = 12mb (4mb+4mb for FB, 4mb for textures = 12mb, not 16mb)

My roomate used to have a poster of the Obsidian2 X-24 as a kid.
Now its sitting on display in front of his computer. :)

Yeah I agree with Brian on the memory fact, But total memory for whatever usage is still 24MB onboard in total.

I have an X-24 sitting in my drawer. For $30 I could not resist and if I am ever tempted to build a retro gaming box I am set.

I am hoping to, after an ebay scam, and losing $560, I need all the liquidity that I can get.
for sure, this card won't even fetch half of what I lost, but at least something better then nothing.

well I was selling a video card on ebay, and then this Brazilian Guy used BUY IT NOW.
including shipping, the total was $560, he paid me instantly using paypal.
Transaction cleared without any problems.

After 30 days, there was a chargeback on paypal. And soon that I found out that the buyer used a credit card to pay for it.
Then he denied buying this item. Credit card company refunded his money for some odd reason without proper investigation,
Then $560 from my paypal account was put on hold since before christmas.

Paypal then contacted me for proof of delivery. I sent them the tracking number as I used USPS Express Mail as my shipping method. Item showed that it was "DELIVERED IN BRAZIL" at a certain date.
I would figure that the transaction went well until last 2 weeks ago.

Paypal refuse to reimburse me the money saying that I am not protected by the Seller's Protection Policy by shipping to an unconfirmed address. so bottom line, the buyer got the item and his money back, while I was victimized and left with nothing
:(

Lodge a report on IFCC (Internet Fraud Complaint Center) and USPS crime investigation center.
Also reported this issue to ebay.
But I guess, nothing much they can do since the dispute is me against a credit card company rather then the buyer itself. Paypal refused to release information of the credit card company and claim that they are representing me to resolve the matter.
Apparently they have 75 days to dispute the charges.. but... pretty hopeless

I have one of those cards paired with a Diamond 4MB card for 2D that my niece uses today. It was in my 1st pc that I bought over 6 years ago. Damn that was a good card back in the day.

wow price is really going up now, too much even for a bit of nostalgia, especially the $40 ship to Europe.
