So here it is, first build ever and my crack at a moderately priced gaming rig that's somewhat future-proofed and plenty overclockable (also a first for me, once I get the thing built).
Chenming Entry Level Server Case steel 1.0mmSECC w/window, 2x80mm fans
OCZ PowerStream 420w
Chaintech VNF4-Ultra
Athlon 64 3200+ Winchester (retail)
Corsair Value Select DDR 3200 2x512mb
Chaintech 6600 GT 128mb PCI-E
Seagate Barracuda 80GB SATA w/NCQ
Samsung combo drive
Samsung 710N-2 17" LCD (12ms!)
2x80mm Coolermaster fans
Logitech cordless mse/kybrd
Lots of advice from these forums went into this machine. Dropped the 3500 Winchester for the 3200 and beefed up the PSU and the posts regarding the Samsung monitor concinced me to give up in the CRT vs. LCD battle between the wife and myself.
