I have read the FAQ at top and gone to included forums (also the Abit forum) and posted my problem, I hope the people can be a little more helpful.

I have a NF7-S v2 and would like to use the onboard audio but my creative 2.1 speakers cannot use optical and I would like to use digital output so the speakers work at their best. So I have done some searching and found a website describing how you can use this (Top and Close up) and connect it to the FPIO2 header using pins 11 (ground), 12 (spdif in), 14 (spdif out). I really don?t need to use the spdif in, but I was following instructions. Well, nothing happens. I get NOT one sound. Not even a hiss or crackle. I figured I had the red and white wires plugged in wrong (as they are supposed to be on pin 12 and 14 respectively), so I switched them around. NOTHING.

I have no idea where to go from here. I am not sure if the SPDIF plate is not working or if there is a software problem preventing it from working. I tested the pins on the mobo using a DVM and there is about 1.7volts on pin 14, so the problem is not the header.
