Another newbie question, SATA and PATA

Thanks in part to the Hot Deals Forum, I have both SATA and PATA drives for a system.

Is there anything tricky about using them together in the same system? Is it just 'hook them up and set them up in the BIOS and that's it'?

I'm running both. I didn't do anything special.

Current motherboards are non-issues to set up. Older boards can take some BIOS fiddling to get them set up.

Either way, it will work.
