Another newbie, need help with cases

What are the 3.5" bays for? My current case (over 5yrs old) doesn't have any (external anyway). Aren't the cd's, dvd's, floppys, etc all 5.25"?

cd-roms, burners, dvd-roms, live!drives =), removable harddrive units... all go in the 5.25" bays

floppy, zip, ls-120 all go in the 3.5" bays

Do you know if AMD athlons are power hungry or picky? I need to buy a PS.

VERY hungry and picky. They need alot of power and don't like somepower supplies. I have a dual fan enermax 330 watt and it runs great. Get that if you can.

Make sure you check to make sure the PS is AMD approved.
