This time The Who at Capital One arena.

Got there late, missed the opening act.

Light rail ride was torture. Any longer of a ride, and I probably would not have been able to handle it. Those old Metrorail cars smelled as stale as they are old and that did not help. The vibration and noise was not fun.

I remember smells. Cigarette smoke, pot smoke, popcorn, and cigarette smoke part deux.

And hearing "Who Are You" made me realize that The Masked Singer is sampling that song every show.

The final song was Baba O'Reilly and the first violinist was integrated into the song.

Also, fuck Medstar and Capital. And fuck the Capitals.

I saw The Who Friday night in philly.

they were outstanding. Pete’s sound writing makes use of the orchestra.

Rogers voice sounded really strong. Much better than when I saw them in 2017 in Atlantic City.

Through my Husqvarna helmet earmuffs, sounds good. Never heard him sing before though, so I have no baseline.

The concert earplugs I had, well, they fell off the car dashboard and I could only find one, so I had to drag that helmet along with me. Almost got rejected by security, but another dude saw the earmuffs on them and said they were okay.

It's was through those GM car commercials featuring Eminence Front.

This was before JoJo. Typical of my habits, incessant listening to that track over the course of many months ensued.

I no longer take the metro when I go to events at Capital One. I just drive there. I can't stand having to wait for the metro after the event is over. It's so much nicer being able to just get into my car and be home in like 35 mins.

Plus when I'm driving it makes me not drink nearly as much and the next day I feel better.

It's got a Baroque-ish opening(guitars and harpsichords sound a like) and the intro opens the door for a wellspring of musical creativity that goes well beyond sticking to the studio version of it.

There is nothing wrong with it at all. It will get you where you want to go.

It's just that after events when there are 19k people leaving at the same time, and trains run every 20 or so minutes at night, it can take a long ass time to get home and you are on a crowded ass train.

"The T" in Boston, leaving after the Boston Pops concert on the 4th, is the same way. Although, they are usually fairly clean.

You'll probably survive. I was going from Shady Grove to Gallery Place. So from suburbia to the center, and that is a good 25-30 minutes. Eating a portion of chocolate and cream pie did not help. You'll be in the center and the rides will take less time.
