NEW YORK - Seattle Mariners right-hander Ryan Franklin was suspended 10 days Tuesday for violating Major League Baseball's steroids policy, the eighth big league player caught under the tougher rules enacted this year prohibiting performance-enhancing substances.

The announcement came one day after Orioles slugger Rafael Palmeiro was suspended after testing positive for steroids.

Franklin, 32, is 6-11 this season with a 4.61 ERA in 22 games, including 20 starts.

There's something not quite right goin on. I'm no Mariners fan but I see the team play a lot. Franklin is a normal looking white boy....he's not even that good. He's not "strong", he doesn't have an overpowering fastball...

I say we just allow all drugs of any kind. imagine the games we'd get to watch! and with all the money they stand to make, dumbass players will gladly run their bodies into the ground for the amusement of fans. woohoo!
<----can't wait for baseball scores to be like football.

what is the real rule about discussing the situation? the players keep saying they can't talk about it but I doubt that's the way the rule is...
