Another missed opportunity

Well, here we go again. Leave it to the sunday paper to put me in a pissy mood.

There was an article about sites that give out info on deals and coupons, such as fatwallet and flamingoworld, ect. Really nice write up, gave the www addreses and a little info about each page. The part that pisses me off is that my wife has the same type of site up, and she started about the same time as many of those folks. Then, she got busy and couldn't maintain her site.

I just have this pit of my gut feeling that if I would've helped pick up the slack when she got busy, we could've been in that write up (and benefitted from the traffic the article surely generated). Another missed opportunity.

Hey, there are plenty more write-ups your wife's site could be in. Don't get so discouraged! I started HotDealFinder in January, and let it sit dormant for 2 straight months. Nevertheless, I managed to get it back up again, and since then, HotDealFinder has been in PC World Magazine, the Miami Herald newspaper, the Miami Daily Business Review, on WAMI Channel 69, on multiple college sites, on About.com, etc, etc, etc.

Hopefully this will give you a little extra hope and motivation. It's not too late.

OR, how did you find out the advertising was happening?

BTW, how much time do you spend on your site a day/week? just curious
