This stuff also just comes to show that this mass surveillance crap has nothing to do with stopping this sort of thing, because you just can't. But they use these incidents as an excuse to keep implementing more of it.

Most of these incidents are some crazy person waking up one morning and thinking "know what, I'm going to go shoot up a church" and he gets his weapons (whether it's guns or something else) that he legally purchased a long time ago and goes at it.
