NEW YORK - (KRT) - Kobe Bryant's defense team believes it has proof that the woman who accused him of rape had sex with at least one other man shortly before the alleged attack, the New York Daily News learned on Friday.

The revelation came a day after Bryant's lead defense lawyer, Pamela Mackey, caused an uproar at a court hearing by asking whether the woman's vaginal tearing was the result of "sex with three different men in three days."

Retired Eagle County District Court Judge William Jones said Mackey asked the question because she has physical evidence suggesting the tearing could have happened during an earlier sexual encounter.

"There was more than one man's semen found in her panties," Jones said. "That's what's behind all of this."

Jones said he learned of this from Mackey's co-counsel, Hal Haddon.

"I have known him for 40 years," Jones said. "He was doing some work for me and he mentioned it to me. It will come out in due course."

If someone raped my wife/girlfriend, there is a good chance my semen will be in her panties. That is a far cry from proof or probable doubt.

Ok the evidence is that she claims he raped her AND the rape kit was "not consistant" with consensual sex.

The defence is asking a valid question. Could the rape kit results be due to MULTIPLE penitration?

This is not an attack on her sexual virtue but an attack on her truth telling.

just to play devil's advocate, imagine your best friend being accused of rape. imagine his named being dragged through the mud, losing work (endorsements), and being bastardized in the public eye.

just like you said, "only 2 people in the world knows the truth". even after the trial ends, we may never know what really happened. until then, mudslinging and dirty laundry (no pun intended) will be all over the place.

This is my belief also... but this girl has a very screwed up history and it will all come out at trial.. I do not only mean her sexual history

She tried to murder herself at least twice because she was dumped by her boyfriend.

Kobe's bank account is only about $50,000,000.. I am sure she will be seeking a large sum in a civil suit.

Oh, it is evidence... but... overportective rape-shield laws may keep it out... I have read that it can be brought as evidence to show doubt that Kobe is not responsible for the micro tears to her vaginal epithilium..

Maybe he forgot to do a before and after vaginal examination.

They found other guys' sperm in her panties, so I am guessing that's why he is bringing it up now.

You're crazy if you think that......the main thing the prosecution has other than the girl's claim is the vaginal tearing. That's what they are using to try and prove rape. Essentially saying that she "wasn't ready" for sex, therefore him forcing himself in caused the tearing.
If she had multiple partners then the tearing could have already been there. I know a couple that got together and the woman ended up with vaginal stitches....and afterwards she said she loved every minutes of it and was ready to go again.
She wasn't raped, but tearing happened, and not a small amount.

If the defense can prove this, it will help tremendously.

Mike Tyson got jacked and defintely didn't deserve it. If Kobe gets jacked it looked like he deserves it. Sorry, you raped a girl, you go to jail. The laws apply to celebrities and rich people too even if they think they don't.

NO, until it has passed the standard for admissability and is entered into the court record, it is not evidence.
It currently is ONLY a report in a newspaper. Given that the judge halted that line of questioning, the avenue to introduce it may be blocked.

I find it very telling of the desperation of Kobe's defense lawyers that they make up stuff like "wouldn't injuries like this be consistent with a woman having sex with 3 different men in 3 days?" Not even havin sex 3 times in 3 days.... but with 3 different guys. Class move, call the victim a whore.

And the female defense attorney working for Kobe who mentioned the vicitms name 4 times despite not being allowed to mention it once in open court. No wonder the judge was livid. Class move, terrorize the victim.

My early prediction of the final results... Kobe gets to make license plates for at least 20 years. It's pretty damn obvious he did it with this ugly defense he is putting up. Very disgusting.

If he doesn't end up in the can he sure deserves to for being a scumbag. But OJ was a guilty scumbag too and people seemed to think his athletic accomplishments made it OK that he killed a couple people.

Uh didnt the Defense get "upset" with the prosecution for leaking?

Somehow Im skeptical that the defense actually leaked this. So Im very skeptical if its true. So Ill wait till trial. If it is true, the Defense team just violated another law, that would be 3 and counting.

So you only count the times that the defens has leaked info???

The partial gag order was STARTED BECAUSE the prosecution had been leaking information.
