Ok, its my turn. I'm finally starting up my hosting site and need a nice logo. It needs to be able to work well in the header of this template. I don't have any real specifications except that the logo must be eye catchy, yet professional looking. I need this logo ASAP. The name of the company is Telnap Internet Services.

Prize money is $25 - A winner will be chosen, I promise!
Since I'm in a rush I would like the contest to end at 9:30 EST tonight, however, if I am unable to select a winner by that time I reserve the right to keep the contest open longer.
The contest winner must be willing to customize his/her once they are chosen.
I prefer not to send to money to a 3rd party as I need this done ASAP, and would prefer to deal with the money. I have positive heat and quite a few people here trust me, however, if most people belive I should give the money to a 3rd pary it will be done. Payment via paypal.

Good Luck.

First off, I'd like to say that everytime someone starts one of these logo "contests" it really pisses me off when I see something like "It doesn't matter too much what it looks like as long as its... blah blah..." If YOU don't know what you want, then WE don't have the slightest clue. Sit down, think of adjectives to describe what you want. For every adjective you think of, your logo will be 10 times better. I promise. "Professional" and "eye catching" are things that should be in EVERY logo, because without AT LEAST THOSE, no one is going to give a crap. For everyone that starts a logo contest, give a couple of sketches of what YOU had in mind. Again, we don't know what you want unless you know what you want.

Second, a few things about the logo you need: Does it have to just fit in that space, or do you want the flash background with it? What do you mean by customization? Are you going to be changing colors and such? Please, more info regarding your plans on the design.
Do you need a vector image or is raster fine?

EDIT: Everything from the boxes announcing prices up is in flash... when you buy this layout will the real deal be in HTML or will whoever makes your logo have to put it in flash?

need some answers if you want it by tonight.

Yes, it does need to work in that header so please choose colors and designs that would work on top of the flash header.
Customization = Fonts and colors

Basically I didn't list many requirements, as I can't say what exactly I want. It needs to be "techy" and abstract. As for some samples I will go and look at a few portfolios and report back in a couple of minutes.

Ok, well I found a few logos, however, the problem they wouldn't work on a dark background like mine. I'm, actually, having trouble finding logos that are on a dark backround :(

3 - If something like this could be done but creativly using technology type objects (servers?), and look nice :D

More coming as I find 'em....

well, the problem with using something like servers is that you can really only use a picture of a server because a clip art server would look stupid...

To be honest with you your best bet here is to go with a completely text logo.

Is the little keyboard background thing still going to be in the back?

I didn't think it would work out with the servers. I am prefectly fine with text and a small design, like 2, or of someone could make a good text logo, then I guess thats also possible.

I do plan on having the keyboard thing in the background as I cannot afford to get a new header right now.

I'm not selling anything until I know the effort I would have to put into will only take the same time it takes for me to make $25. ;)

Because it looks weird to have the flash part pushed out, messes your widths.

Ok, maybe I didnt put it well. I will put the logo into the flash header there just wont be and "effects" on the logo text itself. I do not plan on having a jpg with a piece of flash next to it.

Just use text. A "logo" will look like crap the way you're describing. Either get rid of the flash altogether and use a logo, or just add text to the flash.

Look, you get what you pay for. What did you really expect for $25 on a board that's pretty much not related to graphic design at all?
