My duron 600 now runs at 1016 where it used to max out at 963. Not really much of a gain except in my mind though, it is pretty cool to have a $60 1ghz processor. The loctite rear window defogger repair kit was the clincher. I used 1 fairly firm hair from a paintbrush (a limp one won't work) to apply it with no worries about scratching anything important. Here's to no more re-penciling those suckers!
As a note I did not wait 24 hours for it to cure, only about 1 hour. I figured that since the paint is so thin, and the current is so little (compared to 12v at 20 amps for a defogger)that it would be ok, and it is.
for anyone who's keeping track, my duron is a week 27. It is currently running at 37C, 1.85v, 9.5*107, fop38 w a/s, a7v.

Penis envy:p My penciling just wear off. Been running it at 600MHz for 2 days now. Maybe I might try the loctite method tonight when I have time. I'm kind of confused about the loctite. I has a small vial and another bag plastic bag. Which one did you GaryTcs?

-paldo, I also have the same question. My duron 600 is at 997.5mhz right now stable with pencil. I tried using the stuff from the bag, but it didn't work. I wanna get the loctite stuff working and try for 1016...

The kit that I purchased had no "bag" just a stencil, application brush, and the small bottle of conductive paint.

I purchased it at NAPA auto parts. It is labeled:

Loctite
Quick Grid
Rear Window Defogger Repair Kit

NET .05 FL. OZ

The NAPA part # is: 765-1460

Hope this helps..

Right techonut, the right loctite kit has only 1 glass vial and a stencil and brush. It is labeled Loctite Quick Grid Rear window Defogger Repair Kit, and is Loctite # 15067. The other kit is for re-gluing the tab which carries current from the car to the window. I accidentally purchased this one first.I don't think this one will work, as it is a two part process, and would be very difficult to apply the thin one to the bridges only. I got mine from CarQuest.
Thank you all for the congrats.
