I have a linksys router which was usually working with my Westell modem to provice my DSL service. Recently I noticed that I could not access the service with my current config. I called Verizon because when I connected the modem without the router I get a message about password. Verizon changed my password so that I could get online and I went ahead and set up a new password. Having done that I tried going back to my old set up since I have 2 comp sharing the service. Here is the problem: Whenever I access the router setup page and try to put my user name and password in and hit the "apply" button I get the message "ERROR ON PAGE" in the browser window. I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE over a dozen times trying to fix the problem without success. I have come to the conclusion (FINALLY) that it is not IE but possibly something to do with the router since that message only comes up when I try to access the router setup page. Otherwise aside from a few times whe I tried to access some secure sites I have not seen that "error on page" message. I have tried MS knowledge base and Linksys site with no result. Anyone has any ideas on this? Went to bed after 4 this morning trying to fix this problem. Please help me!!!!!!!
I also have another problem (hope this might be the right area to post) periodically in IE I get the error message: Illegal Operation with MLANG.DLL. I know this stand for "Multi Language Support". Even if I reinstall IE without selecting that option the file mlang.dll is installed and tries to load upon startup. My temporary fix so far it to edit the registry and delete any ref to mlang.dll. Also delete mlang from the c:\windows\system Any better ideas?
