I have built several K7S5A systems. A couple have had a problem like alot of people have had, but I was able to fix them. I just finished a system with the 300w AMD approved Power Supply, K7S5A mb, Athlon XP 1600 (not o/c), 256 Micron DDR, nVidia TnT M64 32mb video, SB Audigy Platinum, WD 40 gig 7200rpm HD, CDRom, CDRW, USR 56k modem & WinXP Professional. Everything went together perfect and XP installed flawless. System runs very stable, no lock ups. Only thing troubling me is that sometimes when you do a cold boot, it will post bios but then go to a black screen and that's it. The monitor is still getting a signal, you can tell it has a bright black screen, not a dark black screen like when it is off. If you reset PC, it will go to the screen that wants you to use the "last good configuration" and then boot normal. It doesn't always do this. I have read many boot problems and did not see any just like this. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I was hoping to clear this up before delivering it to my customer. Thanks!
