Consultant and Sr. Consultant
Roles and Responsibilities:
We offer the opportunity to work across multiple industries and functional areas in a number of capacities, including assessing business issues, analyzing data, creating technical solutions and building client relationships.
Consultants and senior consultants learn cutting-edge information management technologies, while creating and configuring Vertcalnet Spend Analysis and eSourcing software solutions for Fortune 500 companies in a broad range of industries. Significant data management, analysis and transformation projects, while being involved in on-site engagements, enables consultants to develop technical expertise, gain acumen in business and strengthen their communication skills through presentations and client contact.
Senior consultants have responsibility for larger segments of projects, more significant client responsibilities and help to lead/advise junior members of project teams.
Travel can be a significant component of the role.
Verticalnet offers extensive training and mentoring as well as significant growth and management opportunities to qualified candidates.
Requirements/Qualifications:
? BA, Masters or PhD
? Strong academic credentials (3.5+ GPA and 1350+ SAT)
? 2+ years experience in large scale data management and processing
? Technology experience required -Strong SQL / database skills (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) and Web-Development experience preferred
? Strong communication, analytical, quantitative, problem-solving and leadership skills are essential
? Up to 4 years of experience in consulting, IT (data warehousing, business intelligence) and/or supply chain sourcing
