Another Jmicron SATA Controller bug

After my system crashed again and again with core temp (Black screen and re-start), I disabled the Jmicron controller in BIOS, and Core Temp is running just fine.

This occurred with the latest version of core temp as well.

I have of course 'lost' my IDE devices as this is also the PATA cotroller on my IP35 Pro mobo.

Are you sure that it's a controller problem and not a CoreTemp problem? I have no opinion one way or the other.

I'm looking forward to IDE-less mb's since this should simplify design and reduce mb real estate usage.

I had no such problems with a JMicron controller + Core Temp when I was using XP...

Just to clarify, it was the board in my sig, not a IP35.

Disable the controller or use it in IDE mode and it works fine. Enable the controller and use it in RAID mode (if I don't, I get an incredibly slow startup in Win XP) and you have a crash right away.

I had a Intel DP35DP mobo before this, which had an identical Northbridge and Southbridge, but no JM36x controller and Core Temp worked fine with that.
