What a classy cop.

The video depicts Glans becoming frustrated as he says: "Let me see your (expletive) keys."

"Why?" the young man asks. "You can't do that."

"Because we're searching your (expletive) car, that's why," Glans says.

The deputy then apparently slaps the young man as he says: "You want to (expletive) resist?" The slap can be heard but is not captured on the video because the camera was pointed downward.

Second person filming incident:
The young man filming the incident tells the sergeant that what just happened was "intense" and asks the officer if he's going strike him next. The sheriff's sergeant responds that he could "rip your (expletive) head off and (expletive) down your neck"

Just another isolated bad apple. At least he was caught on video, otherwise we would have gotten away with it.

So I guess we will see if he is punished. If he did slap the guy, that's assault and he should be arrested and charged.

Always on video camera on every police officer's chest. Needs to be absolutely mandatory until massive change occurs in police organizations across North America.

I have a classmate that lives there so I heard about it right away.

The cop was put on unpaid leave immediately.

Yesterday he resigned and is charged.

this is a repost.

he's since been fired and the 2 cops with him are being investigated.

Good news. And good thing someone was filming, otherwise that cop would have gotten away with it.

Another perfect example of why we need mandatory video taping of cops on duty.

That's amazing... I would have expected paid leave, and a finding of "following proper established procedures"...

He is nothing less than a piece of shit human being. You can bet your ass that manboy has acted like this in the past, especially in light of the fact he said he'd do it again but not if being filmed (yeah, he really did).

Surprise, surprise, the "99% of cops are great" cops with him did jack shit about this until it turns out they were there as well. Shocking, isn't it? They just witnessed multiple crimes and didn't so much as report it. The lot of them should be fired and Glans should be in jail. The offenses he's been charged with do potentially carry jail time but I doubt he'll get any, because police are held to lower standards than non-police--and in fact that isn't just my opinion, it is literally codified in New York penal law, which is where this took place. In some cases the same act by a non-policeman against a policeman carries a harsher penalty than the policeman against the non-policeman.
