Another incident of by the book foolishness...

When a Federal agency could easily use dressing down, and having quick procedures worked out with the airlines as well as all national air ports to speed their employees along unnoticed, our Air marshal agency sees fit to practically dress our marshals in a standard that stands out as much on an airliner as prisoner jump suits in a corporate office building.

What Jackass is running this agency?

Haha, talk about moronic. The air marshalls would have certainly been the first to have their throats slashed on 9/11. Professional terrorists could probably spot them 10 miles away under those conditions. Here we have another ploy by the government to make us all feel "safer", spending $600 million a year and the buffoons running the air marshall program have them stick out like a sore thumb. Truly brilliant.

that's the whole point they're there to make you FEEL safer, not to actually make things safer.

I tend to agree. But for $600M/year, you'd think they could do both.

The best point in the article is that Terrorists that come on board with nothing are now guaranteed to have 4 Guns and a hundred rounds of ammunition on board with them.

Perhaps after they read the article they will learn from their mistakes and change things so they do not stand out. They are trying to do a good thing, they are just making some errors along the way.

"Professional demeanor, attire and attitude gain respect," spokesman David M. Adams said. "If a guy pulls out a gun and he's got a tattoo on his arm and [is wearing] shorts, I'm going to question whether he's a law enforcement officer."
Hmm. If I were on a plane with an air marshal, he could look like Dennis Rodman and I would be OK with that. Unless of course, he actually was Dennis Rodman. 😛
