Yes, but I don't understand how Israel has anything to do with how women are treated in the Arab world. If you can explain this point, I'd appreciate it.

First, we were talking about Islam which is much larger then just the Arab world.
But even just in the Arab world not all women are as bad off as you would make them to be. As you know in Israel some women are treated as second rate humans, below their husbands. In some Arab families the woman rules the house.
This reminds me of how so many Israel supports cut down the UN human rights groups because so many come from countries with horrible human rights records. No way in their minds can people come from those countries and have great regard for human rights.

No, I do not know. Can you please explain on that? Of course some women are treated badly by their spouses but that happens anywhere, even in Denmark.
So, do you have any information about how Israeli women are discriminated against and by whom? I'd love to learn. Thank you.

I hate these 2 second google questions.
It's like you guys would rather just play games.
Why don't you ever question the other 5 or 6 Israel can do no wrong posters, even when they post total crap?

Shall I spend another 5 minutes and come up with 10 more examples?
Na, just play your games, I still do enjoy reading and laughing at the hypocrisy.

Don't you know, you never question Israel, especially with Israelis who's sole purpose of posting in these forums is to defend Israel right or wrong. If you do even when they are wrong they'll label you an Antisemite.

BTW what do you think of that ex Israeli President who was just comvicted of rape?

you didnt answer at all to do with israel.

you answered for Judaism.

not all jews are orthodox radicals.

most jews in israel are very reform, and some not even considering themselves recognizable with any religion.

on the other hand, in places like Saudi Arabia, women cants be on the streets alone, she must be with her married spouse. On other forums, people claim to be from SA and say they buy fake wedding rings so they can live peacefully.

a year or so back an elderly woman was sentenced to something like 70 lashes and like 3 months in prison just because she had 2 men in her home, one of which was an adopted son and his friend.

dont try to compare israel to the arab world, i'll just use plain ole facts to show how dumb you sound

I didn't ask about women in orthodox Judaism. Neither did I ask about women in Islam, which is the religion of 20% of the Israelis. I asked about women in Israel. There are large numbers of Hassidic ultra-orthodox Jews in NYC too; does that make NYC discriminatory towards women? Or is the state of Israel at fault for the 8% of Hassidic Jews within its borders oppressing their women any more than the 20% of Muslim citizens are oppressing their women?

But I'm getting too far ahead with the rhetorics and I should keep it simple because you seem to get lost pretty easily, so I'll just rephrase my question in a clear and simple manner: Where did you see discrimination against women by the state of Israel?

What the fuck are you talking about? I didn't say Jews or Israelis in general shit ice cream. I'm saying that Islamic countries tend to treat women and non-muslims as second-rate citizens. There are bigoted people everywhere, sure, but it's practically state-mandated over there. The Saudi courts hand down punishments like the one FGD mentioned on a regular basis. Does that sound like equality to you?

You're using a strawman by shifting the argument over to Israel, which happens in every thread, and I can see straight through it.

I think you're confused. I was just replying to Earl, the Original Earl to be precise, about his comment of Israel in the thread earlier. He hinted at Israeli appointing a PM to compensate for discrimination against women, like you suggested Muslims do. I just asked for him to point at this discrimination, to which he replied with Orthodox Jewish folklore, the same as I ask you your opinion of the US economy and you replying with how the Amish haven't developed over the last 200 years.

Now, I try avoiding send threads down the Israeli spiral but if it has already got to that point, I'll bite.

As in the indigenous people.

Who are no longer there, and haven't been for nearly four generations. The ones that remained are now Israeli citizens like any Jew. They are about as discriminated against as Blacks are in the USA, whatever that implies.

If you say so, never been there and have no desire to visit so I wouldn't know

Jeez, I'm sorry. Your and Original Earl's avatars look similar to me at a glance. My post definitely seemed like insane rambling in light of that.

Trust me my friend, compared to the shit being thrown around P&N daily, your post seems like the sanctum of reason.

Other than that, I find it intriguing that you see similarities between Earl (Original, the) and Harry (Dirty, the), particularly due to the latter being a man renowned for his honor.

its the only modern/western country in that backwards moving area.

its also not run by sharia law or even influenced by it.

Their corrupt regimes are US allies, the population is far from it. Their loyalty to US comes from strategic reasons (arms, money, protection, political support), not from any shared values.

I see no difference with Israel support. Maybe a larger tourism industry as the American Fundies want to get a look before their beloved end times come about.
