I was flipping through channels and came across what looked like a Robin Williams special. Turns out it was a Time Life DVD infomercial. And I was interested...

He never got the chance. He was already too old for that when the TV was invented

Time Life presents Sam Kinison…

Time-Life as a brand is getting dated to the point that most of the people who might assign value to the brand are dead.

Edit: Turns out that Sam Kinison is also dead, who knew?

My response to getting old is: Beats the alternative. I am referring to the traditional alternative. If they significantly slow or halt the aging process, and make it available to most of us, we'll talk.

Yep ... Just like people who complain about a another birthday without considering the alternative!

agreed...no matter how bad things may get...any day you wake up without a tag on your toe...or looking at the underside of the grass...is usually preferable.

Heh, a lot of the folks I jam with are a bit older than Boomer even, and some of them occasionally tell me "don't get old", and I typically reply with that "beats the alternative" :)

To be fair "flipping through channels" already puts you in the old column I think.

Agree

"Flipping through Channels" puts one squarely into Boomer Zone or even Silent Generation .....

gawd dammit...57 channels (with Dish it's more like 257) and there's nothing on. I'll keep surfing until I find something I like...or until Mrs.Boomer gets tired of it and takes away the remote. :p

My parents have DirecTV and whenever I go to their place I'm completely lost when browsing through the guide. Half of the channels are infomercial channels (peppered through the normal channels), and the other half that are "worth" watching seem all disorganized.
