Just installed my new hd with my old one slaved to it. My OS is on my newer one and is the primary hd. However my old drive shows up as C and my new one as E. This works but how do I get my primary (new drive) to show as C.

Yep...set jumpers to set up my newer larger one as master and the older one as slave. When I installed windows I could see that the installation was going to E ( the larger drive) but thought it might resolve itself when finished.
The other option was to install to my older C but I didn't want the OS installed there. Did I miss something? Is it too late to change the drive letter? I don't think XP will let me change the letter of the boot partition. ???
