Ditto ,well I was a TI4400 owner ,now Im a TI4600 owner o/c to 300/650 will go for more later ,Im just glad I saved $100......

I'll have a true Ti4600 tomorrow and I'll try overclocking above 300/650...maybe reach 320/730 like I've heard reports of.

My Gainward Ti-4400 is shipping out tomorrow and for once Im not even thinking about overclocking it

 

my gainward ti4400 will be here tomorrow!! and I thinking of overclocking it for 10 minutes to get a phat score, then run default for the life of the card... I am coming from an MSI GF2 PRo, so it's already gonna be fast enough at default!!

Overall, most o/cs only yield any big difference in the 3DMark scores. Most game scores are only about 5-15 fps different between the Ti4400 and the Ti4600. Turn on 4xAA and and 64tap and then you will notice the difference of the Ti4600

LOL- OCing GF4s to get higher 3dmarks. Kind of like tweaking your Ferrari so it will go 170mph, instead of 160.

Yeah, because I really notice the difference between 160FPS and 170FPS

I quite like the ferrari analogy myself...
I can't afford a ferrari or a geforce 4 (yet - go 4200!)

It is pretty darn funny how people openly admit that they bought a faster card for no other reason than to post a higher 3DMARK2001 score.

Last time I tried to play that 3dmark2001 game I wasn't so impressed

Anywho, I'm something of a knob myself... I bought my GF3 to play Doom 2 (not gonna be out any time soon) and now I'm buying a GF4 to play Unreal 2 (not gonna be out any time soon).

Well, at least the DVI output on my new card will force me to start looking into LCD panels.

No Woodchuck! You have to overclock a Ti4600 so you can run it at 16X12X32, 4XFSAA, max aniso! Whether or not you can see the teeny little game characters is irrelevant!

Uh, the fastest card/system out (let's say a 2.7ghz p4 and a ti4600 at 330/700) couldn't do 1600x1200x32 4xAA, 64 tap aniso could it?

edit: of course it could do it, i mean could it do it at 30fps+ constantly?

Depending on the game I can run 64tap ansio filtering with 4xFSAA at 1024x768 or even higher res...maybe 1600x1200...games like Q3 can do it above 80fps, but some games like MOHAA will be a slideshow.
