how is this one compared to their first?

i didnt like their last one , but their first is great

Second was pretty good to me... first was best though. This album has got some really great songs (Disease, The Freaks are Coming, Loser, etc) and some bad ones too. I think it's worth buying, you can listen to it straight through and enjoy the whole thing pretty much.

Same here, it seems to me that the lead singers voice had that "different" quality to it, that made the first album stand out from typical modern rock. Second album, it became annoying to me, for many of the same reasons, whiney sounding almost. Will have to PIckup it up and RATE it.
