I had the msi k7t266 pro and it gave me tons of trouble even with the 1.1 bios. 3dmark couldent loop without rashing no matter what settings I used. Also sometimes the board would fail to boot requiring a cmos reset.

The only difference between older boards and newer boards is that on newer boards the resistor is on r126 and not 126.

Its a good board but there are better ones.

Yes I know about the resistor problem, anyway I was just posting a review,as for better boards well some people will swear by Asus ,others Abit,MSi etc, at the end of the day I was just posting a review link.

Never mind that the motherboard itself is not that great, but this review is horrible! Spellcheck anyone????

That is quite possibly the worst review I have ever read. In benchmarks he seemed to be testing the GF3, not the mobo, saying things like "these scores are better than with my GF2 Ultra"

First off, thanks for putting up the info Mem.

Next off, that review left A LOT to be desired. Their so called 'Test' system, what OS was he using? What BIOS? Was it an R126 or R127 board? There was some good info in that review but the 'tests' done was just plain SUBPAR.

I have this motherboard (the ORIGINAL R127 one that I've modded to R126). I've gone through A LOT with it, but I'm HAPPY I made the purchase and would and do recommend this board.
