Another gaming speaker thread

(A) Mirage 5.1 speakers (list $800, got on sale for $350)

(B) Audioengine A5 stereo (about $240)

(C) Get the Klipsch 5.1's that blew the power supply fixed (feel free to share info where)

(D) Find space to hook up that extra pair of Polk 50's tower stereo speakers (think they'll need an amp?)

Few picks for solutions... anyone familiar with each?

B or D and yes D will need an amp, any AVR will work

that is unless you really want 5.1

you posted nothing about what mirage speakers and or specs
and personally i dont feel that gaming needs 5.1

I had Klipsch 5.1's that died on me as well. I ended up getting a receiver and sub and reused the speakers. The receiver was about $200, and for the sub I upgraded my home theater's sub and put the old sub on my computer. It works extremely well, having a real sub that is powerful and clean and never bottoms out kicks ass. I like this option since it leaves me room to upgrade the speakers later as well.

Another victim of the Klipsch 5.1's. Mine died about 3 years ago. I just ended up getting a receiver and another sub.
