Another friend has a problem with music.

Another friend of mine had music and somehow it got deleted. I think the trash was emptied also. Can he get it back?

If he hasn't written to the drive, he has a good chance in 'undeleting' the files.

Several good yoots exist.
GETDATABACK
UNDELETE (most undelete proggies will get them back)
ACRONIS UNDELETE etc etc etc
Just do a search - but it is very important he doesn't write to the drive, or defrag.

What do I need to do to undelete it. I don't think he has written to it or defraged.

Download an 'undelete' program or a recovery program to another hard drive.
Do a search for 'freeware undelete'.

Install to another hdd.
Run the program.
Point it at the hdd in question.
Hey presto -
deleted files become undeleted.
