Another expensive box on eBay

maybe the seller is stupid and don't know how to properly write up a description, or his ability to use the english language is challenged. then again, he might just be a dirty scumbag trying to make a quick buck or 2

Way to be a good guy John. For those of you condemning people for not noticing, you have to remember that everyone is not the cynical, internet savy people that we are. Not everyone expects someone to be selling them a box, nor are they looking out for this type of scam because they have never heard of it. If you want to do something, how about being a nice person and warning people instead of bashing them. I do agree, it is rather stupid to not realise, but I can see how it could happen.

Hummm I have a hard time believing the BOX is made by visiontech.
Wouldn't that give the "winner" an out on paying for it?

it says BOX! You don't have to be internet savy to see that it says Box in the title of the aution and in the description. Its not like its hidden or anything.

My friend told me he sold a PS/2 box for $300 ...heh.

It just seems so wrong to sell boxes, but geez, why can't people read a little?

i don't feel bad for the buyers, their fault for being stupid

300 dollar lesson for em

It's kinda low that people are selling boxes knowing full well they're trying to trick someone into paying a high price for it, but shame on the bidders too for not looking into it.

That's not a bad idea, I wonder if it loud. I very much doubt Visiontek made the box, maybe that's enough to prove the guy is trying to scam people ?

What did you warn him about? That he is an idiot? Why don't you quit ruining people's auctions when they aren't doing anything wrong?

Knock it off! I'm hoping my auction will go up to $400 and you are trying to screw with my buyers!!! :| :|

Good going John, I can see some situations where I could have been fooled by the wording as well. Never hurts to e-mail a bidder and ask them to check it all out.

Does anyone else get reminded of the old Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs and Daffy race to a TV station for a chance at one million bucks, and it turns out the prize was really for "one million box"? LOL. "And in each box is a crisp new $1 bill..."

I wouldn't sell just a box on eBay but I see nothing wrong with this auction. It is shady, yes, but good god, if you don't read the description of what youre bidding on, and you plan on spending 350+ dollars on something like this, it's your own damn fault.

<< A fool and his money are soon parted. >>

Good going John, yeah John expose that mofo.

The only thing worse than a deadbeat bidder is a dirtbagg seller, IMHO.

And this guy is neither.

Yea, whatever yakko, like the guy doesn't know he is being deceptive. If he does that constitutes it being illigal. What do you have to refute that. I'm sure you will think of something witty to say, which won't change the fact that this guy is trying to get people to buy his box knowing full well that they believe there is something inside the box, which like I said, is illigal.
