You know whats the real stupid part?

This person will probably get 450 e-mails from "good samaritans" that explain that this is a demo disc and ebay will allow him to retract the "legally binding" bid he's already placed.

Now, I'm against auction fraud but getting ripped by your own stupidity isnt fraud. Its called experience.

Exactly. Ebay has got to have a better system. I can play it by the book, be 100% straight and follow every single goddamn item in their TOS and I can still get backlash from someone who disregards the entire system.

I don't understand eBay at all.

I've been buying GameCube games on there the past few days. It boggles my damn mind.

I want Resident Evil. I see it normally going for $25 or so. OK that's fine. Then one goes for $11.50 (my dumb ass forgot and when I remembered it was over, was completely pissed). Then another for $36. I mean what in the hell. I'm amazed at how big the range of ending prices can be.

And I don't understand people who buy games at MSRP on there. I could understand if you lived in podunk Arkansas, but surely most folks can just go to the store and buy it at MSRP and pay less in tax and have it right then than they end up paying on eBay. Jeez at least bid on the new ones that are on there rather than the MSRP ones.

And what really gets me are these bonehead asshats that sell stuff as new.

GameCube game Resident Evil New!!!

Then you click and it says

Played less than 2 days!

THAT'S NOT NEW YOU TURDBURGLER!

Many auctions like that.

I agree with Boyracer. The worst part is that the stupid ebay bidder who wins will give the seller a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, EVEN THOUGH the auction CLEARLY STATES...."READ THIS FULLY..."

One other thing that also annoys me about the entire FEEDBACK system for ebay is that EBAY doesn't REQUIRE you to leave feedback.

The problem is that, most often, people refer to the number of FEEDBACK as DIRECTLY as the number of transactions you have completed and if they don't leave feedback, it makes you look like a first time bidder or seller.

The simple solution here is to base a seller's reputation and trade history on something OTHER than just the opinions of others.
