Another Duron unlocking Question

I just did the pencil trick on my 800 Duron. Man are those things tiny! I got my pencil mark very close doing two of the bridges. I don't think they are touching but they are very very close. If they are touching do you have to clean them off and start over? Or can you take something (like a straight pen or needle)and lightly run a scratch mark between the bridges to break any contact?
The marking on the chip is AKCA0110CPDW. It has the bluegreen center which I have seen several people asking questions about. Like everyone else I'm hoping it will be a good one for overclocking.

if im not sure if they are touching or not i usually use a needle tip to to scratch through between them like you were saying.

Thanks Boonesmi. This is my first one and I figured asking a dumb question was better than screwing it up.
I've read many post about how to do it,but none have mentioned how to correct it if you got wild with the pencil.

You could just try erasing it...

It's a good idea to sharpen you pencil as sharp as possible and then scribble a little bit to make sure nothing will break off.

Ppl been using rubber to clean the graphite off the CPU, if you want to redo the pencil trick.
Just make sure to clean it very well off the CPU.

Good luck!

I've connected the bridges on a dozen Durons and/or Athlons using a 0.5mm mechanical pencil. If you interconnect the bridges just erase well and try again. It goes a little easier if you separate the bridges you are connecting from the others with a credit card.

Thanks people. You remember how it was, the first time you worry about all the little details. Then after you do it and it works, you think that was so simple, what was all the fuss about.
I hope to hit the magic 1000 with this thing.
